Deceived by Irene Hannon

I love this Missouri girl! Irene Hannon gives the reader a true gift. Here's another unputdownable for sure! She invites you to join her characters in St. Louis. The Missouri weather is atrocious in the summer and Irene hits that perfectly with humidity. That might be a small detail to you, but for me, a Missouri girl, it's huge. I get to connect with these characters by totally relating to them sweating too death! She not only mentions Starbucks, but my favorite mall! She involves the reader by sharing details of the area that you feel as though you are right there in the moment of danger.

"Deceived", is the third book in the, "A Private Justice Series". Now, you could read this as a stand alone. You could easily just pick up today and enjoy it, but it is a series and if you begin with, "Vanished", and move along to, "Trapped", you are going to get the full benefit from reading an Irene Hannon novel. She ROCKS!!

Check out my reviews of, "Vanished", and "Trapped".

In this series we meet three men, agents, who have all come together, and now work for their own PI firm. These men are honorable. They walk in valor. They are the kind of men you want in your life. Yes, the kind of man every girl dreams of having as her husband. Even a big brother would be awesome. So, throughout the series, each one picks up on a different character. As we meet these characters and learn more about them, each one catches a case that involves them coming together to solve a crime. They are intent on protecting their clients. Oh, did I share that in each novel, yes, the person coming in for hire just happens to be a beautiful woman who is frightened by a circumstance that has happened to shake them to the core?

With Irene, you get a bit of everything. You definitely get suspense. Love. Check. Romance. Check. Faith. Check, check. In this latest addition to the series we get deception! Oh, how evil people can weave a web of deceit. She knows how to creatively weave a story together that is intense and real. The characters are not off the chart. They are easy to relate to. Her words flow so easily that you are instantly connected and you know you are not putting this book down until the last page has turned.

Each of her books are favorites of mine. I simply love how she writes. In this series we connect with investigator Connor Sullivan. Ahhhhh. I want to know where these men are! (Lol Just kidding) The more we learn about Connor the more we adore and respect him. In his office walks Kate Marshall. A beauty that catches his eye, but I believe she catches his heart even quicker. There are moments of romance and danger. I love how Irene introduces a character and then allows us to get to know them in the perfect timing. Just a little bit of information allows the imagination to ponder what's next, but with Irene, she takes you on a totally different ride!

I hate to give away any tidbits of a novel. That's not fun for you. But I can share what I walk away with from reading this novel. Never give up. God has perfect timing. When you think there is a possibility, remember that we have a God who knows our path and He already 100% ahead of us, planning our very steps. He has a way of bringing all things together. Satan is out there to deceive us and he uses every tactic possible in his arsenal, but we have a God who is bigger than any plan Satan has.

If you're in search of a great suspense series choose this one, but really, you can't go wrong with any novel penned by Irene Hannon!
