Memory's Door by James L. Rubart

Wow! Wow! Wow!! This is James L. Rubart's second installment in his series, A Well Spring Novel. Book 2, Memory's Door, picks up with the Warrior's Riding in a more personal journey. Together they find strength to face the attack of the Wolf. Separately they are being attacked with a vengeance.

We meet up with the same characters. All who are fighting against spiritual attacks that weigh each of us on a daily basis. For these four, the journey is real and deep. They are determined with the strength that only comes from God and they too are motivated by the strong bonds that knit them together.

The first book of James L. Rubart that I was honored to read was the first in this series, Soul's Gate (Check out my review). This was one of the most amazing stories I have ever picked up! It was one of those unputdownables that left me wanting more and now we have the second in the series, which doesn't disappoint.

The characters are easy to relate to. I found that in this novel we got to see them on a more personal level. Since the attacks are coming on each Warrior Riding we get a deep look into their pasts and into their deepest struggles. Once you begin reading you are hooked. At every turn there is something more to keep you turning pages. This book is fast paced and a journey that takes us into a world we feel is far from us, but once we get a closer look into the lives of these characters we understand it's a world we live in day to day.

I want to read every book penned by James L. Rubart! What a gift he has in bringing the reader into a deeper relationship with the Lord. Through this novel we see that we need to remain close to Him and that the more days we have ahead the more we need to depend on Him for the strength to bring us into what is to come. Memory's Door is one of those stand out novels that brings us to ponder our own battles. But we aren't left there just to ponder. Through the lives of this rich characters we see how to fight in the supernatural, with the warfare of the sword of the Spirit.

They have come together through prophesy to fight for the souls of others. They intercede and are warriors for Christ. This is a deep journey and one you are sure to not only enjoy, but walk away with a deeper yearning for a closer connection with the Savior.

I wouldn't begin the series with reading this novel first. Yes, it could be a stand alone, but you will have a better understanding and more personal experience with this novel if you first read, "Soul's Gate".
