THE LEGEND OF THE EASTER EGG by LORI WALBURG

This is a wonderful addition to your Easter morning. Zonderkidz has published this great book for kids ages 4-7. It is beautifully illustrated with bright colorful pages that will grab your child's attention. The story revolves around a young boy, Thomas, whose sister is very ill. She comes down with scarlet fever and he must stay with friends, John and Mary Sonneman.

They are owners of a candy store. While staying with them he attends church and does activities with the family. On Easter morning, Mary, gives him a chocolate Easter egg and shares the resurrection of Jesus and how the egg is a symbol of new life. This young boy comes to faith and only wants to share with his sister. A sister who he had just gathered eggs with before her illness. Now he understands. He now brings her a beautiful basket of colored eggs. This is a great way to introduce the real meaning of Easter with small children. Easter is all about Jesus Christ. His life, His death and His resurrection.

This book was a gift from Zondervan for it's review.
